BUSY, BUSY, BUSY

Getting ready for my road trip tomorrow with Michelle. We're off to Coffs Harbour for ScrapBoutique's Summer Retreat. I've got all my scrap stuff packed (essential items first!!) & my stylist LOs finished & photographed. Just some ironing to go.

Had a quick look at formal dresses with Fliss today & laybyed 2 cute little numbers. We will look some more in town next week. She finished her last HSC exam today with Art, which of course was harder than what she thought it would be. So........13 years of schooling is now over........I think she was a little sad having to sign out for the last time.

And I'll finish with a layout share from last month.

This one was one of Kate's sketches for SFS.

CATCH UP

I've had a stay at home week after my big weekend. Am trying to catch up on some projects & had to tidy up the house after our visitors.
Lois & I had a great day at Peta's retreat last Friday. Got to catchup with some girls we've met before in class there & with some friends from online, namely Sar from Scrapbook Savvy and Marijana, both from Wollongong. I finished 7 LOs which I am yet to photograph. Had a laugh sitting next to the norty girls Bev & Nat and managed to eat alot of beautiful homecooked food just in one day LOL. I've pinched this photo from Peta's blog - I had to smile at how tired we look - I spose it was pretty late when we were leaving!!!

My scrappy friend Kate has just taken over the challenge blog Scrap the Girls as of November. I know she will be perfect for this cause she is an awesome scrapper. I've never done any of the STG challenges before, so am looking forward to a new challenge in support of the gorgeous Kate.
Tonight's the first online class by Zoe Pearn at ScrapBoutique. These classes are free & start at 8pm our time. Looking forward to this one, which means I'll have to have the little monster in bed early.
Finished this LO for 123 Challenge today - not sure if I like it though - baby photos are not my thing!!!

I completed these LOs from a Shop & Crop monthly kit, at the Divas Crop day. The first one had a transparent window, which you can see my floorboards through LOL.

VISITORS

I've had Mum at home for a few days - she was down to have a PET scan in at the Mater. It was a quick visit as she's gone home on the train today. She is battling on but the treatment has knocked her around a fair bit & slowed her up alot. I am very proud of how she has managed to handle everything this year.

And now we have Jamie's Dad, sister & brother here for the night before they head up to the Hunter Valley tomorrow, for a family wedding on Saturday. The boys & some of the girls are playing golf at the Vintage, with Nathan the groom. Us girls are going up Saturday after cricket & when I get Riley organised to go to Tracey's.

Finished one LO for the Boutique this week & have another one to do as a sample for the Nov Stylist challenge. Also have Nov 123 Challenge to complete & I think I'll try & get them done at Peta's Retreat tomorrow. Lois & I are heading up for the day. Some of the girls are already there tonight & have started scrapping up a storm. Should be a really good day!!!!!

Off to pack my gear.

A FEW LOs

These three were from my first Boutique Stylist pack, using Fancy Pants Rough & Tough range.

This one is using Shabby Green Door's Farmer's Market range, also from my Stylist pack. Chels is very generous with her product!!! And I based it on Emma's Stash Stomper sketch for this month. (Notice the sewing? Got my old machine serviced!!)

And this next one is for Manon's Inspiration Challenge. The first one using some of my many tulips photos!!!

We scrapped this lovely vintage one with Sue, on the Saturday night of our weekend in Bundanoon. Sue had made us up little packs of goodies to use. I know it's the same photo but I love how this turned out.

And in this one I have scrapped a copy of a really old photo of my Mum's family circa 1931 I think. Used a few pieces from a WIOIN kit on it, as well as some old lace from the antique shop in Berrima.
